🧩 Resource of the Month: Special C.H.E.E.R.S.

This month we’re spotlighting Special C.H.E.E.R.S. (Children with Horses for Evaluation, Education, Rehabilitation, and Socialization), a Houston-based nonprofit pediatric therapy clinic that provides hippotherapy and occupational therapy visits, listening intensives, and summer camps annually. Special

C.H.E.E.R.S. uses rescued horses of all sizes and temperaments to match the needs of our children and young adults. The Special C.H.E.E.R.S. program engages sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to promote functional outcomes. Their compassionate approach and multidisciplinary services make them a valuable resource for families seeking holistic support for their children.
